With the meeting of minds (our Div AGM/ Planning session) that was held Sat Nov 13th, We now have a schedule ready for 2022! As it has been for the last 2 years, all of these dates are subject to changes in the prevalent local laws and updates related to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, if things continue as they are heading, we are hoping for a ‘somewhat normal’ regatta season for 2022!
If you look closely, you notice a few oddities…. I am still waiting on confirmation of the Desert Classic in May, You’ll notice Skomakawa has 2 dates… this is dependent upon whether we get approval to host the H17/ H18 North American’s at Lake Quinault in August. That will hopefully be confirmed by January. We’ll keep you updated on that one!
**Since the initial posting of this message it has been decided to postpone the hosting the H17/H18 NAC’s to 2023 due to the lack of on shore infrastructure currently in place at Quinault. Skomakawa Regatta will now be held August 6/7. An updated schedule is below**
Another ‘new’ event on the books is a MySail Family/ Friends Fun Camp at Quinault. This is an event were you get to invite your friends and neighbors who have always wondered what this thing is that you do with the 2 kayaks bolted together … Invite them out for a fun weekend of camping and sailing. More details on that as we get closer….
There are also some other ‘Fun Sail Days’ planned which will be posted. Miles in Coeur d’Alene/Spokane has some fun sail/ cruising days planned for June 18th and August 20th. More details on those in the new year.
Meanwhile, have a safe and wonderful holiday/ winter season, go easy on the slopes and we’ll see you in the spring!!
