From the IHCA President — Rich McVeigh

Hi

The planning  for our next two Hobie 16 world championships is proceeding well. We hope to be in a position to announce the next event in a few months.

I sent notice of this previously but we thought a reminder was appropriate and we need your help to get the word out.

One change to the format is the elimination of the on-site qualifying series for the open. The path to the Hobie 16 world championships is through sailors prequalifying in their home region. We want to push the participation theme. The intent is to stimulate regional participation by requiring the sailors to earn a prequalified spot.

We will be modifying the prequalified spot allocations for each region as the spots that were previously saved for on-site qualifying will be distributed to all the regions.

Rich
